Data Deletion

How to request deletion of data, including WhatsApp Business integration data.

Updated: 20 July 2026. Effective: 20 July 2026.

Data that can be deleted

Users may request deletion of account, workspace, support and connected-channel data to the extent permitted by applicable law. This page is also the public data-deletion instruction for Botseller integrations with WhatsApp Business Platform and other Meta channels.

Submit a deletion request

Email [email protected] with the subject “Data deletion”. Include the Botseller account email, workspace name, connected channel and, for WhatsApp, the phone number in international format. Describe the data or integration to be deleted. Never send a password, verification code, payment credentials or a full identity document.

WhatsApp Business and Meta

Disconnecting Botseller in Meta settings or removing an app permission stops future access within the revoked permission, but may not by itself erase data already stored on a lawful basis. Use this page to request deletion of that data. After appropriate verification, we will delete data related to the integration or explain what must be retained and why.

Data controlled by a Botseller customer

For customer conversations, Botseller normally processes data on behalf of the business the user contacted. That business determines the purposes of processing and acts as controller. We will refer the request to that customer or assist it under the applicable agreement; contacting the business directly may result in a faster response.

Verification and completion

To prevent deletion by an unauthorized person, we may request only information proportionate to the risk and needed to match the request. Response timing depends on applicable law, the role of Botseller and request complexity. We will confirm the action taken or explain a lawful restriction.

Retention limits

Limited information may be retained where required for accounting, security, fraud prevention, legal obligations or legal claims. Deleted data may remain in protected backups until scheduled overwrite and is not returned to ordinary production processing.
